Do your research.

I work in a research lab full-time. What the lab researches has me aware of what people use in their homes and what they use on themselves. One reason why I switched stores. I know it might discredit me for working in such an industry (then again, we're one of 3 labs in the country that do this kind of independent research), but it's only me made me more aware of what kinds of things are in people's homes and workplaces.

It also leads me to do my own little investigations.

Many of the products used in workplace, and in homes, have to have a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). This is something our clients have to submit before we test their products. Well, I've gone and done some research of my own.

What I've found amazes me. If you do a search n your common household cleaning products, you're mostly likely able to find an MSDS sheet. You can even find MSDS for products you use on your children and yourself. If they aren't available through the website, you can call and request one.

I looked up a product that claims to be "Natural". A lot of companies are claiming that now because of the "sudden" awareness of how chemicals are affecting our environment and even our health. I can tell you that no "natural" product should have a pH of 2, which is very acidic. Having such a low pH level usually indicates a safety hazard of some sort.

And do your really read the labels on your household cleaning products? Some of them tell you to wear safety goggles ad gloves before using on just your toilet! Who wants to go through all of that trouble? And if it tells you that, how safe is it really to have in your house with children and pets around. You know dang well that if a child wants something, she's going to find a way to get it.

I'm glad I switched stores. I can rest easy knowing my children are safe. The other day, my son was taking much too long in the bathroom to go potty. I walked in, and he had my bathroom cleaner in his hands and was spraying the toilet with it. I aske him what he was doing.

"I'm cleaning, Mommy," was his reply.

My little helper. I love him.

Had it been any other cleaner, I would have flipped out. But not with this one. I can clean my bathroom and my kitchen now without having to worry about my asthma acting up, or having to worry about my children getting sick from the fumes caused by most cleaners. I don't have to open every window in my home in the iddle of winter to make sure the fumes and smell get out of my house.

You have to find out what you're using. Especially for the safety of your kids. Our health is also our wealth. Without it, we can't enjoy life.

Work is Work - but Why Work?

"Never allow anyone to rain on your parade and thus cast a pall of gloom and defeat on the entire day. Remember that no talent, no self-denial, no brains, no character, are required to set up in the fault-finding business. Nothing external can have any power over you unless you permit it. Your time is too precious to be sacrificed in wasted days combating the menial forces of hate, jealously, and envy. Guard your fragile life carefully. Only God can shape a flower, but any foolish child can pull it to pieces." Og Mandino
My mother started working 3 jobs when my sister and I were basically self sufficient. My mother had always worked. My dad was in the Air Force, and tended to be gone normal hours, but also was gone during weekends. How she raised two girls without dad around is beyond me.
Times are different now. I work full-time. My husband works full-time. I also work part-time. My part-time job, I love. Because I fit it around my family's schedule. I am my own boss.
But it is a job. I set time aside every day to work at home. It's usually in the evenings during the week, and during the afternoons and evenings on the weekends. I get to see my kids, spend time with them, and enjoy them. I get to spend time with my husband.

And I will be honest, there are days when I don't want to work. I'm either too frustrated with how my full-time job went, too mentally exhausted to put effort into another project, or just overwhelmed with what's going on around me.

But I plug along because it was my choice to do this. I have my one BIG reason why I undertook this job. My personal WHY.
It's the big picture I'm shooting for. I know some people might find it hard to listen to me when I tell them they can work at home when I'm working full-time outside my home. Yet, I know eventually I will be able to work from home full-time. And on top of that, there are a lot of people on the team I am with who used to work 40-60 hours a week and now, they are home full-time with their families. There are also parents on my team who still work 40-60 hours a week and are earning 4-6 figure checks a month. They're even earning and extra $50-500 a week!

That's my goal. I've been with the company over a year. I had to slow my momentum down 6 weeks after my daughter was born because I had to go back to work full-time. I couldn't spend all my time building my contact list and making calls to my friends, family, and anyone else who had asked for more info. Now, I have to find that time during the day to do that, and also schedule it in my day in the evenings and weekends to work my home business.
But I don't mind. I may have to sacrifice some things, but in the end, it'll all be worth it.

I work because of the Big Picture.
What's your Big Picture?

Why here?

Well, I'm going to try to write here on a daily/nightly basis

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Tricia. I'm a married mom of two beautiful children. My son is 3 years old, and my daughter is 1 year old. I work full-time for an independent research lab. I also work part-time as a Marketing Executive with an international health and wellness company that has and continues to change my life, which I will tell you about in a little bit.

I married my high school sweetheart in May 2005, after nearly 10 years of dating. I can't imagine my life without my husband. We have been through quite a lot together, and he has been my strong shoulder and support when I needed it most. He is the General Manager for a landscaping company here in the Gallatin Valley.

Now, my goal here is to tell you about the company I work for, and let you in on the opportunities they provide anyone looking to improve their healthy, go and live green, looking for more natural products to use in their homes, looking for more energy, looking to save money, and looking to even earn exra, supplement, or replacement income. It's also my goal to share the information I have learned, and continue to do so, in regards to living in a healthier and safer home with you.

I know you see a lot of people telling you that you can work from home. Offering those deals. While I, too, have looked into those, I have found that working with "The Wellness Company" has been the best choice for my family. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here about the company. If you'd like to learn more, you can email me, or visit one of my websites to ask for more information. I love sharing this information with others. Not just the opportunity to get financial freedom (I am always looking to help others reach their goal of earning from $100-$5,000+/month), but also to share the information about the incredible products and services this company offers to its customers.

I tend to ramble, and go in different directions, but if you bear with me, you'll see what I'm trying to get at.

I could keep this post going on and on about how much I love this company, but I'm going to try to do it in pieces.

Here's how I found this company:
I was almost 7 months pregnant with my daughter. For several years, I had been trying to come up with some way to earn extra money without having to get a second job, and be away even more from my husband and my son. Already, my son & I didn't get to see much of my husband from about April through October as landscaping and installing sprinklers is a sun-up to sun-down job. I couldn't quit my job at the lab with the amount of debt we had acquired over the years, and now, we were going to add onto the with more medical bills.

Every thing I had looked at (Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Tasteful Treasures, The Body Shop to name a few) required that I put at least $200 down to buy inventory and register. We didn't have the kind of money. Plus, I wasn't the type of person who was organized enough to keep an inventory of products in my home, nor did we really have the space to do so. Plus, having to go to other people's houses for "parties," wasn't exactly conductive to me trying to save money if I'd have to get a sitter and drive someplace. Now, I'm not saying those businesses are bad. They just weren't a good fit for me.

I was doing an on-line search for home businesses when I came upon an ad that said "Moms Helping Moms." I requested more info, and several days later, a woman called. Since I was busy getting my son ready for bed, my husband took her name and number. Luckily, she was kind enough to do so. Previously, I had asked for info at another site, and the woman had called, left a message, and then, emailed me. I emailed her back after getting my son to bed and said I had been getting my son ready for bed, so she tried calling not 3 minutes after I sent the email. Being pregnant, and having just put my son to bed had worn me out. I didn't want to talk to someone about working from home. ...

Anyway, I'm rambling.

I called the woman (we'll call her CD) back, and she went through her introduction. I liked how she approached everything, and we made an appointment for me to see an on-line presenatation. The presentation was very well done, and very informative. I had little questions to ask afterwards, but the ones I did have, she was happy to answer them. In truth, I was still reluctant to just sign up. I'm not one to just jump into something without discussing it with my husband. I asked her to give me a few days to do some more research on the company and to talk with my husband. She was cool with that, and we set up date to talk again.

I did my research. Everything I found made sense. I spoke with my husband, and he basically said if it made me happy to go ahead and do it. I was concerned about the money, and I brought that up with CD. She reassured e everything was refundable. Everything did make sense. There really was no risk.

This may sound like some mumbo-jumbo to you, but it has worked for me. The team I'm with is incredible. I have found something I love to do and love to share with others, and I know that this company will help my family for the rest of our lives. There's so much about it that have not found with other companies. I try to continue my research, and really, I am astounded every day by "The Wellness Company."

Y'all have a great night.
